Manoped Bike

Formika helped Lemco engineer, design and produce this rehab bike for helping people with disabilities regain strength and blood circulation in arms and legs. The bike – also known as a manoped – uses a flywheel for smoothing out momentum and an adjustible magnetic brake system to create resistance without making any noise. The product is designed, engineered and built from scratch in Denmark with precision mechanics for a smooth, noiseless ride. Below is a few renderings showing both the final product and early design drafts.

Dripview

Dripview by Aqubiq helps homeowners and companies save water and prevent water damages. The smart water sensor clips easily onto the water meter and gives a full overview of your water consumption through an app. Dripview also gives an instant warning in case of leakages.
Formika helped Aqubiq making the product design, component integration, mechanic design, and prototyping for Dripview. We aimed for a minimalistic and super compact design with a sturdy feel and a secure and audible click when mounting Dripview.

Rhinix

Rhinix is a small and almost invisible nasal filter developed to help hay fever allergetics avoid inhalation of pollen.
Formika helped Rhinix with an idea catalogue with mechanical solutions, CVI, package design, and illustrations.

Corpatch

Formika helped with design and mechanical development of two Corpatch® products, a trainer and a single use sensor unit providing live feedback when performing CPR during cardiac arrest. A main challenge was to integrate delicate electronics with various sensors into a very compact design which can withstand the high forces applied during CPR. After thorough prototyping and testing a solution was reached for both the single use product, and the trainer which needs to cope with a very high cycle count.

What does Corpatch® do?
CorPatch® prepares and empowers people to act during a cardiac arrest. What to do when a loved one is not breathing and lies unconscious on the ground? This is an extremely stressful situation, where chances of survival decrease for every minute the brain lacks blood and oxygen. CorPatch® aims to reduce insecurities and guide people to perform quality CPR from the first crucial minutes. CorPatch® and the free app guides to check for life signs, call 1-1-2, and perform CPR using a unique feedback system.
The single use sensor measures only 32x32mm and is carried as a key hanger, immediately ready to use when needed.
